Food for Thought...

“I was firmly convinced in my own mind that Justine, and indeed every human being, was guiltless of this murder”.

During the time that Frankenstein returns home, he often expresses assurance that no human could have murdered a child (William Frankenstein).  What does this say about his faith (optimism) in that instance? Is there truth in his convictions?   For a human to take part in such evil, does that constitute them as a monster? (Consider this: Frankenstein is a monster, with sensitive or more so humane-like feelings).  *Refer to chapter 7*

  1. Well... to quickly answer your questions ( Because is have to get off the computer :) ) For a human to take part in such evils and for someone to believe this to do an undo-able act speaks to both a persons tolerance for ones self and a persons want to put his or her faith/beliefs in another. Let me explain *Kevin Hart Voice*, If you are able to murder a child you are able to tolerate the mental anxiety that comes along with that action... or maybe you're able to ignore it. For you to believe the murder of a child is not something any person can do you are putting your views on another. Even if your faith seems right to you and possibly is right in the grand scheme of things you must rely on your faith a lot to expect other to do the same. Ok, Good Night !

  2. Really faith has nothing to do with it its all based on your mind set if your messed up in the head or had a tramatic exspirence then you never know what your going to do no your not a monster its just you did something bad like a bad person can do goo things does that make them a good person

  3. Religion influences a person perception on situations and actions that have occur around them. Due to someone’s faith their intentions on what’s acceptable. Frankenstein is monster that has qualities and intellect of a human being. The action of him murdering Victor Frankenstein’s brother William was not a crime in the eyes of Frankenstein. The creatures want to be notice and recognized by Victor Frankenstein. He wants attention, for humans the same thing, our perception also faith plays a role. In some religions believe murdering person is actually a message from their holy figure. A person isn't a monster since people have different perceptions.
